We focus our efforts here in Indy, but we have several clients out-of-state too.
We went with "web design" since we do so much of it. But really, anything that has to do with design, technology, and conveying a strong message is what we love to do.
In other words, we don't just create stuff for our own amusement…it has to have a point and the point is to create the best experience for the people using your software application, browsing your website, reading your brochure, etc…
new technologies, new techniques, new trends... this stuff changes so fast, and we keep right up with it.
need something quick and dirty? Then we'll humbly advise you NOT to hire us. It's not that we don't want to help, it's just that we know there are other shops out there that could make you something for less time and money than we could if all you need is something basic.
We know our limits, so we're not going to be rebuilding ebay anytime soon. But could we be part of a development team where we handle the interface and user experience? Absolutely! (drool…)
Actually, we don't like that word user. Some think the "user" can represent everyone, but we think it represents no one! It's so nebulous and doesn't even begin to address the complexities of the real people with real emotions that will be using your site or software. Before we design or program anything, we need to know who these real people are and what makes them tick.
Whether it's what career to pursue or what socks to wear today, we think every decision and behavior is rooted in emotion…it's just the way we are all wired as humans. We seek to understand WHY people do or want certain things. This allows us to design a more engaging interface, construct more intuitive interaction, or present a more persuasive message.
but negative emotions also have their place: error messages and persuasive calls to action, for example, both have their motivations rooted in resolving a negative emotion. Bottom line: we use design to accommodate (and influence) a specific state of mind.
brochures, posters, tradeshow booths…you name it
logos, business cards and letterhead, corporate style guides, etc.
good photos, even if it's just a texture, can be such a critical part of a design. We shoot almost all of our photos so we get exactly what we have in mind for a project.
